The Perfect Father Helps The Imperfect Father

God is the sourced of strength. In Him we find help for a work we cannot do ourselves. What a comfort to know that He cares about fathering even more that we are able to care. And He not only cares; He acts. He works both in us and in our children.

How do we access this help? First, fathers must be sons-sons of the heavenly Father-before they can be good fathers. When we sincerely seek to be faithful sons, we can expect His guiding, helping hand Then the Holy Spirit can work both in us and for us. We also have the Bible with all its teaching and examples. We can benefit from the experiences of Bible fathers. Then, in addition to all this, we can learn from the advice of fathers we have known. Let us take courage.
